PWG2 – ITC

 

Description

 

PWG2 supports and advises the ITSA Secretariat on the development and implementation of ITC as token classification standard. The working group thus contributes for instance to the conceptual work on the token classification framework, to the classification guidelines and to the actual classification of tokens according to the framework. Conceptually, the ITC framework needs to be further developed horizontally (addition of new dimensions) as well as vertically (definition of new (sub-)categories and/or (sub-)groups within the different dimensions). The Working Group Head will set and coordinate these different ITC development targets in close liaison with the ITSA Secretariat.

 

Exemplary topics

 

1. Should the ITC be extended in the future in order to show more detail in each existing dimension or in order to include more dimensions?
2. Should the ITC allow for a primary and secondary classification of tokens where needed or are labels a better solution?
3. What technical token standards other than the Ethereum-based ERC20 should be included in the framework?
