Working Groups
Working Groups (WG) will work towards the goal of establishing a renewed framework for the ITIN and ITC.
ITIN
PWG1 supports and advises the ITSA Secretariat on the development and implementation of ITIN as token identification standard. The working group will thus focus for instance on technical aspects of ITIN, the ITIN issuance process, and on strategies for the implementation of ITIN through partnerships with exchanges and token issuance platforms. As ITSA participates in the ISO Working Group on the development of a globally accepted Digital Token Identifier (ISO TC 68/SC 8/WG 3), the Working Group Head of PWG1 will collaborate closely with the ITSA Secretariat as well as ITSA’s representatives in the ISO Working group in order to align the development of ITIN with the work of ISO and its members.
ITC
PWG2 supports and advises the ITSA Secretariat on the development and implementation of ITC as token classification standard. The working group thus contributes for instance to the conceptual work on the token classification framework, to the classification guidelines and to the actual classification of tokens according to the framework. Conceptually, the ITC framework needs to be further developed horizontally (addition of new dimensions) as well as vertically (definition of new (sub-)categories and/or (sub-)groups within the different dimensions). The Working Group Head will set and coordinate these different ITC development targets in close liaison with the ITSA Secretariat.
Tokenbase
PWG3 supports and advises the ITSA Secretariat on the development and implementation of TOKENBASE as a token analysis standard. Next to providing qualitative token classification data from the application of the ITC, TOKENBASE shall integrate and offer various market data feeds from different providers in order to develop a transparent and reliable data aggregation platform. The working group will thus focus on the development of such database, including technical aspects (e.g. development of an API) as well as the partnership management (e.g. onboarding of new data providers) and licensing aspects. The Working Group Head will work closely with the ITSA Secretariat in order to define the next steps for the development of TOKENBASE.
